"Our Cause Speeds On Its Way"
The Theta Xi Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. was established at Syracuse University in 1975 by five academic and service minded young men. Since that illustrious year Theta Xi has been the home of many brothers who continually practice our fraternity ideals of brotherhood, scholarship, and service.
Our Mission
Our mission is as simple as our Fraternity Motto, "Culture for Service and Service for Humanity." The brothers of Phi Beta Sigma are the Fraternity's most valuable resource and strength. They are the primary means by which our objectives will be achieved. We reach out to communities around the world and provide assistance when help is needed. Our National programs assist organizations such as The March of Dimes, The National Marrow Donor Program, American Diabetes Association, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, The National Urban League, and The American Cancer Society to name a few. We intend to fulfill our objectives by the following:
- Ensure that the Fraternity programs are focused and committed to serving humanity.
- Reaffirm and maintain a strong commitment to Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service.
- Create an environment that respects the dignity and worth of each brother.
- Exhibit integrity and ethical behavior in conducting Fraternity business. Serving as a model for all Greek-letter organizations.
- Maintain and improve the Fraternity's technological literacy in order to better serve its members and the community at large.
- Encourage a closer and mutually beneficial working relationship with fellow Greek-letter organizations, other community service organizations, business, and government
